Last day in Brazil
On our last day we went to the beach in Balneario for one last time for about an hour in the morning then drove to Florianopolis where we got Sarah's luggage from the mission home then spent a few hours shopping in Florianopolis. We then returned the rental car and took the shuttle to the airport where it was time to say goodbye to Brazil. Sarah stubbed her toe while in the airport and it was bleeding so I went to the first aid office to see if they would give me a bandaid. They said they couldn't give me a bandaid, but went with me, brought Sarah to the first aid office and gave her the full treatment. It was pretty funny and I think the most excitement the workers had had all day. It was really a wonderful trip and so great to see areas and people that Sarah had come to love! Sarah was greeted at the airport by the rest of the family who were so happy to see her! The next day it snowed at home which was a shock after being in constant sun! Luckily we made it to the temple one time before the coronavirus shut everything down!
Last Day in Balneario Camboriu
Today we walked to the end of the main beach in Balneario and then to the Gondola up the mountain and then descended to a beautiful, but crowded beach. We swam and relaxed, ate beach churros, and then went back up the mountain where we enjoyed sugar cane juice and then took the zipline back down--which was a blast! That night we met some of the ward members for acai in Camboriu.
Jeep Excursion Bombinas
This morning we got up early and went on a wonderful jeep excursion to the beaches and sites around Bombinas. We snorkeled, hiked, jumped the waves and saw some beautiful sites! After the excursion, we enjoyed the beach for a while before returning to our airbnb.
Imbituba and Balneario Camboriu
We went to church in Imbituba, and it was nice to meet all of them members there. Thaina had us over for lunch Then we went to a beautiful ocean view point and visited with one of Sarah's converts--Dolla. Then we drove about three hours to Balneariu, checked into our airbnb and then visited with ward members in
Camboriu.
Camboriu.
Imbituba
We left Ingleses and drove to Imbituba, Sarah's first area on her mission. While there we went on a hike with Bruno (Sarah's branch president) and his wife, went to an all you can eat pizza place with Thaina, Got pedicures and manicures from Thaina, had lunch with a family Sarah was close to, and had acai with Jefferson. It is a beautiful area!
