I love my Savior, I love my lord. I love you all, and know he loves you too.
This week was a crazy one, but good one. Here is what happened.
- We went to a member's house on pday and made coxinhas! We are trying to help her set goals to go to the temple and stop drinking coffee. I have faith that we will succeed with the lord!
- We decided to knock doors in this super catholic Bairro, São Fransisco. We climbed up this huge hill that had a ton of crazy houses, and talked to everyone! We met some very cool humble people, and some other super crazy people... the norm, neh?
- We had a cool experience this week with hispanicas (the lord is confirming the need for me to improve my Spanish after the mission) we met this super cool family from the Dominican Republic, she grew up going to church and watching church videos, because her uncle is a member. She was never baptized and lost contact until now! A blessing. She didn´t even ask who we were, let us in, and when her daughter offered coffee, she said we didn´t drink it! Miracle!
- The same day when we were walking to another lesson, we were stopped by a mom and her two daughters who were sitting on the sidewalk. They said, "you guys are hermanas/sisters" They are from Venezuela, and moved to Brasil recently. And they happen to be members! They live in a tiny house, the size of a small living room, with nothing to eat, no toiletries, nada. We asked them if they had food, and the little girl said no. so we said just a second, and bought them a bunch of food! We told the bishop about them, and now they are going to get real help.
- We had a good lesson with Enio, and set a date for baptism. We were talking about how many times God wont change the situation, but he will give us the strength to move and change.
- Sunday we had three investigators that watched conference with us. And a member gave us popcorn to eat during it!One of our investigators Cilene watched the whole 6 hours!! She said she felt so much peace, and could tell what they were saying is true. We kept asking her if she wanted to stay, and she said she could never get sick of them talking!!
That's about it for now folks. Love you all, this is God's church, this is the path, and we have a prophet that lives to guide us today!
Love,
