Just thought I would title this email with a phrase that everyone says here on the mission! Whenever it is pouring rain, the more rain that we catch, the more blessings that rain down from heaven! (aka hot future husband) ;)
This week was AMAZING! I love Inglese, I love knocking doors, meeting new people, and the freshness of a new area! Ahh I can just feel the potential. The best feeling in the world!!
Highlights from the week:
- Zone conference!! Always the best, I love seeing all of my missionary friends, and learning how to be a better servant of the lord. I also got a sweet package from my mommy #blessed, and got some solid nap time on the 2 hour bus ride back to the northern part of the island!
- Rain.... Lots of rain this week, which is nice, because is it more fresh and clean outside, but not nice because no one likes to talk to the missionaries in the rain, and cars like to splash us! Oh well, more blessings from the lord! The work continues on!
- We set a date for baptism, the 12th of may with Vera! She is the sister of a member. She still has a lot to do to get there, but she is so sweet, and has the desire to search and ask!
- We had an awesome day of so many awesome new people that the Lord put in our path! I can see miracles every day in the things that really aren´t coincidences. God is directing our paths to find people prepared to search and find the truth of the gospel.
- Darling Daniel: darling is the first name of a man from Venezuela we are teaching. He stopped us on the road and asked us what kind of missionaries we are. We told him, taught him a small lesson, and came back the next day, he had read everything!! Had so many questions and we had the best lesson ever, with the spirit so strong! I am so excited!
- I had this one brain glitch where we were in line to go to one town in our area, but my brain switched the name of the town when I saw the name of another town, I told sister souza to run with me and we got on the wrong bus, she immediately said, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!" and we died laughing. We got off and paid again and got on the right bus. Gosh the mission is making my crazy! HAHAHA!
- Had so much success with less actives going to church this week and this week we are going to teach their wives! One of them found us on the road one night, called out "sisters" and said he served a mission, and hasn't gone to church in 7 years! He wants to come back to church and this Sunday brought his family!
- We also are teaching another less active family that decided to go back to church, Deborah, Barbara, Georgie and Pedro. Georgie isn't a member so we are teaching him. And little Pedro (3 anos) has a crush on me! haha!
Right now as I am typing this a little girl is giving me bacon flavored Cheetos! I love Brasil!!
Love you all!
Send an email my way!
Love
Sister Crofts
